The PRA Senior Living Design Studio collaborates with communities throughout the nation to provide engaging and supportive living environments for seniors. Our approach to design has evolved just as care practices have evolved, diminishing the institutional medical models to a residential continuum of care approach allowing residents to thrive in independent, active communities and transition to higher acuity areas as their needs change. Today, we are actively creating Senior Living Communities dedicated to the enrichment, safety, and prolonged life of seniors; places where families can be sure their loved ones will continue to live healthy, joyful, and meaningful lives. We work with a variety of clients including non-profit and profit-based, from faith-based organizations to Veterans’ groups, from County Homes to private market-rate communities. Each of these embodies a different set of regulatory challenges, labor shortages, and resident needs and expectations. It is important that your partners have experience in the challenges of these unique environments, the tools available to uncover effective solutions, and a dedication to improving the quality of life in Senior Communities.
Our team is led by co-directors Gregg Golden and Larry Schneider and has been creating engaging communities for several decades. Each regularly shares design ideas and operational or program innovations at conferences or in publications, to contribute to the evolution of senior living environments.
